If you are a BYPL customer ( i.e. BSES customer in Trans-Yamuna and Central Delhi area), you can now lodge your electricity complaints by sending a simple SMS. The new SMS complaint registration system for BYPL has the capability to accept complaints for no electricity, voltage fluctuation, issues with electricity meter or issues with the bill.
As per the BYPL spokesperson, the SMS complaint registration feature was launched on Monday. The feature was on trial since last one month. BYPL has around 11 lakh consumers. The service will soon be launched even for BRPL (BSES consumers from South Delhi and West Delhi).
As per the CEO of BYPL , Mr. Ramesh Narayanan, when the consumer sends an SMS, an auto-generated registration number will be sent to the consumer as well as the officers of the concerned department will be informed about the complaint.
This is a neat initiative given the fact that during summers the customer care face extra load owing to multiple requests.
Follow the format below to register your complaint through SMS
bses <space> Fault Code <space> <Your consumer registration number>. Once you have composed the SMS, send it to 5545464.
Fault Code Legend
No Electricity : nc
Voltage Fluctuation : vf
Issues with Meter : mb
Bill Detail : bill
For example, if you are having issues with your Electricity Meter, you need to compose the SMS as
bses mb 123456
Where 123456 is your registration number.

As per a latest study, drinking more than two soft drinks in a week can cause Pancreatic Cancer. The study believes that drinking more sugary drinks increases the amount of Insulin the pancreas produce which causes the Pancreatic Cancer.
Pancreatic Cancer is known to be one of the deadly forms of cancer and only five per cent of people who are diagnosed are alive five years later.
While the study did found co-relation between Soft Drink consumption and Pancreatic Cancer, no such relation could be established between consumption of fruit juices and spread of pancreatic cancer.

Shahid Afridi of Pakistan has been banned from 2 matches of T-20 International Cricket after his attempts to tamper the ball. The ball tampering incident took place during the fifth one day match between Pakistan and Australia.
The ban was imposed by match referee Ranjan Senerath Madugalle after the match got over. Shahid Afridi was captaining the team in place of injured Muhammad Yusuf.
This is not something new with Afridi. Back in 2005, Afridi was banned after he tried to damage the pitch during the match between England and Pakistan in Faisalabad.

If you ever land up in a situation where you dropped your mobile phone in water, this article will provide you with steps to follow.
In order to follow the step below, you would need items like one towel, container, rice, one vacuum cleaner.
1.) Take the phone out of the water
Take the phone out of the water and place it on a dry towel. Ensure that you have switched off your phone.
2.) Remove the battery and SIM card from the phone
Once you have switched off the phone, take out the battery and SIM card from the phone. This is to ensure that the phone doesn’t get short circuited.
3.) Dry the phone with a Vacuum Cleaner
This is the core-step of the entire process. In this step, make use of the vacuum cleaner. Use the vacuum cleaner to dry the phone. Do not use microwave or a hair dryer to dry the phone. While microwave can literally burn the components, a hair dryer can force moisture into the components.
Use the vacuum cleaner for around 20 minutes to dry the phone.
Another key fact to remember here is, do not take the vacuum cleaner too close to the phone as this can again cause damage to the micro components. Once you have vacuumed the phone, open it and keep it on a dry tissue paper or napkin for 2 – 3 hours.
4.) Remove the moisture from the Phone
Once the phone is dried, the next key step is to remove any moisture from the phone. In order to do so, you can take a container and fill it up with raw (uncooked) rice. Place your phone in the rice and leave it for a day. Raw rice can dry up the moisture very quickly.
5.) Re-start the phone
Once you have followed the steps mentioned above, insert the battery and SIM and restart the phone. If the phone still shows up issues or doesn’t start, the next best step is to take it to an expert.
Do you have any other advice to offer?

Tata Nano, India’s cheapeat car ( in terms of price) will be sold in the US as well. However, the price of Tata Nano in US will be $5000, i.e. around double of its price in India.
Average price of a car in US is usually around $9000 and therefore this might actually prove to be a great option for just half the usual price.
Tata Nano’s US model will be costlier because of the stricter safety and emission norms in the US.

Innéov Fermeté is a magical pill developed by the confectionery giant Nestlé and the world’s biggest cosmetics company,L’Oréal. Innéov Fermeté is a sugar-coated pill which as per the tests has shown dramatic results in slowing down the ageing of the skin and thereby reducing the wrinkles.
Scientists developing the pill based it on lycopene, the red carotene pigment found in tomatoes. They modified it into a form more readily absorbed by human cells, then combined it with a form of vitamin C and with isoflavones — chemicals extracted from soya beans.
All three ingredients are powerful antioxidants which, scientists believe, help protect tissue against damage.
Innéov Fermeté or the new magical pill will soon be available in UK as per a report on TimesOnline. While the pill is reported to be producing results in keeping the skin wrinkle free, it does come with a hefty cost of $40 for a supply that only lasts 10 days.
